My Birthday

Sunrise overlooking Lake Atitlan, on our way to Xocomil for my birthday! San Pedro volcano is on the right and the town of San Pedro is just below it.

Here is a closer look:

How lots of people get to work.

Fruit!

The pic doesn't even show how beautiful these huge garden-farms are.

Us at Xocomil. (Left to Right:
Nicolas (nicotu) my Spanish teacher
Dora - Nicotu's wife
Jeffrey Juanito - Nicotu's son
Norma - my homestay sister
Maria - my Guatemalan "mom"
Angela - my homestay sister
Miguel - my homestay dad

Instead of cake we had Icecream

There aren't any pictures of rides since we were too busy to take pics. If you want to see what the nicest and hugest park in central AmericA look like- just google Xocomil wAterpark in Guatemala or IRTRA - it was awesome! I had a terrific 15th birthday!

Great hearing about your birthday celebration. Since I am a truck gardner's daughter those huge farms look very interesting. Beautiful country! I will have to look up info on the farms to satify my curiousity. I did look up where you had your celebration. It is huge. Glad you made the long trip safely. Thinking of you. Love you, G&P xoxoxo

It's hard for me to believe you've already been in Guatemala nearly a month, Marcus! Thanks so much for sharing these blog posts with us. I love Copán, too - will look forward to seeing what you think of it. ¡Buen viaje!
