This is Dina someone I met on the boat to Panajachel, she's actually from Panajachel.
We found a museum in Panajachel. Here some of the stuff we could take pics of.
This one looked like a strainer to us.
And we though this one might have gone with the strainer to make spaghetti :D
Great view from Panajachel!
Better than sunscreen (:
Everyone put plastic on top of them to not get soaked by water flying up over the edge of the boat (:
View of San Pedro from out on the lake.
My mother schemed with the mother of our home stay family to pretend to serve it to me for dinner, to get back at me for locking her in the bathroom, hahaha!
Im volunteering 2-3 times/week to help build a house... I will get pics of the family soon!Mixing cement by hand for each block of the house.
Layinng cement blocks by hand... one at a time.
Coffee Plants grow all along side the roads and in empty lots here... that is... when bananas, oranges, avocados, papaya, lemons & juizcil arent already growing. It is really cool how so much food is growing in the trees here! There are probably more, I just dont know wht they are (like the one we call Annatto - for natural red coloring. I will get more photos of fruit, etc for a later post.

Hi, first of all the soup is probably very nourishing. Just doesn't look appealing. But sure pops would try it. The ferry trip to the other island and picture you took of San Pedro gave me a better perspective of your location. Can you smell all the different plants that are growing along the side of the road?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! Love ya, G it's snowing here!
Oh, Marcus that is my favorite soup ever. I love all the pieces and bits. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for calling me so we could talk and you could walk me through your blog post. That was fun and gave us something about Guatemala to talk about. I know your birthday is tomorrow. You are turning 15!!! We will try to call you and sing to you. We will also put the happy birthday song somewhere on the web for you. Love you buddy. Take care of mom and yourself. I'm praying for you everyday.
